Gotta love Irony, I grew up earning an Eagle Scout, following my religious teachings and spent four years honorably in the marine corps. But when I spent four hours napping in my car in a church parking lot that held my records I was arrested along with my brother my car searched, and accused to Suspicion to Burglary, theft of two tenths of a cent of power for plugging my laptop into the power receptacle. For this I was held three days till an araignment then told that because my hometown was a different state bail would remain 15,000$ for each of us and we would remain in custody 29days till the hearing. So, being furious that they would hold me, an honorable veteran that had served our country and even went overseas and was shot at, I called the first bail-bondsman and agreed to the bail loan which the state gets 3% of and the agent collects 7% of as their reward for mediating. I paid 3k to be bailed out because the phones inside the jail are made so you have to file for money to be placed on a card so it can charge you 3$ every 5 minutes and a large service fee for anyone on the other end who accepts the collect call everytime a collect call is made out. Once out I went to my church(same place of arrest) my bishop, the area representative, the grounds department officials and other members of my church heard about what happenend and proptly came to the first hearing date which since I paid the 3k$ bail my hearing was moved to 3days after the bail. At the hearing just one official before the judge and the judge reads the charge. Conspiricy to break into my own place of worship and to steal two tenths of a cent of power for a church that I give 10% of my total earnings to. He then confirms that the church isnt out for punishment at which the bishop for whom I’ve driven 900miles between SanDiego and SLC delivering christmas presents to his family on my way home to my own family. I don’t pride myself of being a perfect citizen, I speed from time to time or don’t completely stop at stopsigns when there are no cars nearby but I truly cannot shake the feeling that I’ve been thrown through a juicer after being squeezed for all i’ve got. Upon my case being dismissed for reasons all too obvious I was informed I would be paying over seven hundred dollars for my vehicle being towed and impounded by a lot they city gets money from, and I was informed that I still have to continue paying on the bail bonds even though the entire case was dismissed. Where did honest JUSTICE go? The city pays people to arrest anyone for anything during certain hours, hold them so they want to post bail, raise the bails to earn more money when they get their 3% much like a real estate agent, and threaten long jail time for the sake of convincing honest americans to pay the price, of face the piper. For those who haven’t experienced it the holding cells are never warm enough so you constantly are in a state of being too cold since it is proven science that cold people are less violent and miserable. Why is our system becoming the very demon we strive to liberate other countries from? Why are we not standing up for rights and taking back our freedom?
