[NOTES* from Leftish - are always in brackets]
I’ve got a question. What exactly did Obama mean when he said we would “address Climate Change”? We need specifics, please!
This is our last chance to make any changes until 2015. The Democrats only need TWO MORE VOTES to pass the stronger Merkely bill.
PLEASE call your Senators and ask them to vote for the stronger Filibuster Reform bill that includes Senators actually having to SPEAK on the Senate Floor, and NOT support the weaker McCain/Levin proposal!
Neither Barbara Boxer or Dianne Feinstein have issued a statement saying how they plan to vote. They are being flooded with phone calls today.
Won’t you help? If you are in CA, call our Senators’ quieter CA offices, because they are always available, and I never get a busy signal.
In California:
BARBARA BOXER: 559-497-5109
DIANNE FEINSTEIN: 619-231-9712.
In other states, click here for your Senators’ contact info. or call 866-937-5062
PLEASE, CALL!!!
Click here for a “script” to read, and to report back.
Enough with the Fiscal Cliff, already!

Karen Finney, Democratic Strategist, MSNBC Contributor, former Director of Communications of the Democratic National CommitteeThe Republican National Committee has said it’ll kick in whatever it takes to keep Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in office.
But Democrats in Washington won’t commit to spending big, even though their candidate has been out raised 25-to-1 so far. And in Wisconsin, that’s left the local activists fuming.

Love it!
It’s really simple…if you want to enjoy the same rights as women enjoyed 50 years ago, DON’T VOTE REPUBLICAN!!
NOT FOR PRESIDENT, NOT FOR STATE CONGRESS, NOT FOR GOVERNOR, NOT FOR MAYOR, NOT FOR COUNTY CLERK - NOT FOR ANY ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICE!
No matter how much they try to say that they are CAMPAIGNING because they will create MORE JOBS, and whatever other bullshit they try to sling at the voters, in order to get elected, KNOW that they are a bunch of nutjobs who have no concern about the economy, the environment or the world situation.
REPUBLICANS WANT TO GET INSIDE YOUR BEDROOM AND REGULATE WHATEVER GOES ON THERE. Then, if you should happen to get Pregnant, they want to REGULATE THAT, too.
The GOP has revealed itself to be an exceedingly dangerous, selfish, greedy, wicked, woman-hating, gay-hating, race-baiting, abortion-hating party, and they are not even BOTHERING to try and hide it any more.
WIMPY AS THE DEMOCRATS ARE, THEY ARE SAINTS COMPARED TO REPUBLICANS!
It has a ‘Democratic wing’ that likes war and taxes and individual welfare, and it has a ‘Republican wing’ that likes war and deficits and corporate welfare.”
~ Judge Andrew Napolitano, Anchor, Freedom Watch, FOXBusiness Network
Republicans are the only thing that makes the Democrats look good.
~ Dylan Ratigan
Because last I checked the Democrats were still playing games on energy, they were still playing games on the deficit, still playing games on Health Care.
I’m not endorsing Republicans here, I don’t want people to misunderstand me, but I find it kind of humorous that everybody wants to get rid of the “distraction” so that they can go back to not doing anything?
~ Dylan Ratigan
When people say there’s not enough bi-partisanship, I very often think, no there’s actually too much. On Afghanistan, too much - we have two parties, we have one policy. Gun control - two parties, one policy. Marijuana - two parties, one policy…There’s a lot of that in this country.
~ Bill Maher

Rep Anthony Weiner (D-NY)555 People - By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred Senators, 435 Congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court Justices equates to 555 human beings out of 300 million citizens, are directly,
legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country…
…Those 555 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con, regardless of party. …What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall.
…It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 555 people who stand convicted, by present facts, of incompetence and irresponsibility.
…I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not directly traceable to those 555 people.
…There are NO insoluble government problems.
…Do not let these 555 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject;
to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from who they can take this power.
…Above all, do NOT let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics that prevent them
from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 555 people, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people, who are their bosses!
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
