"Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything." ~ Stalin

I have a hard time believing that Romney is truly “catching up” or “pulling ahead”.  The guy is slime, a worm, a taker, an opportunist, a hater of women and minorities, how could these polls be real?  Romney is gaining momentum among women?  WTF?  What women??  Show me a woman who doesn’t want to control when she has her children??  I just don’t believe these polls.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but here’s what I think.  They’re just trying to set us up.  They are trying to spin a yarn so tall that the American People will accept it when the GOP hacks the voting machines and hands the “victory” to Romney.

The reason they didn’t cheat last time was because they thought they’d do better to throw this mess at the Black Man, and they’d gather their energies to focus on trying to win Congress back in 2010, and the White House back in 2012.

"THEY" control everything.  Romney can win, if they want him to.  Come on, they own the fucking voting machines, what did you think? And, conveniently, there’s NO PAPER TRAIL with these machines, so there’s no way to CHECK and make sure the vote count was correct!  How convenient!

You might never have even heard this before, because the truth came out so long after the fact, but it was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Ohio votes were hacked at the last minute in 2004, giving the victory to Bush.  In fact, two Ohio election officials were found guilty of ballot-tampering, and sentenced to jail time.

Do you remember that night in 2004?  They’d never seen such a divergence from the exit polls, which overwhelmingly showed Kerry having a huge lead just moments before it suddenly swung handily towards Bush.

Any of this ring a bell?

Well, the exit polls weren’t wrong (btw, several states have now OUTLAWED EXIT POLLS!!!)…it was years later (2007), that this was proven, long after Bush had been in the White House, having enjoyed almost all of his second term.

The GOP figures it doesn’t matter much if they hack the vote - by the time, years later, that the actual truth comes out, it’ll be WAY too late - the damage will have already been done, and the favored President will be well into his fraudulent term.

I mean you didn’t really think vote counting was fair and honest, did you???

Jon Stewart’s ‘Daily Show’ Goes Nuclear With Power-Industry Ads

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” is going nuclear.

The Nuclear Energy Institute, representing companies including Entergy Corp. (ETR) and Southern Co. (SO), will use the Emmy- award winning Comedy Central show starting today for an advertising campaign showing the value of atomic power a year after the triple meltdown at Japan’s Fukushima Dai-Ichi plant.

The industry wants “to reach some of the younger audience that are helping to shape policy,” Scott Peterson, the Washington-based industry group’s senior vice president for communications, told reporters on a conference call yesterday.

NEI will double its annual advertising spending on the campaign, Peterson said, without providing specific figures. The ads will appear in the next six months in such outlets as the Washington Post, the Economist, Bloomberg Businessweek, and on “NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams,” the network’s “Meet the Press,” National Public Radio and Facebook.

The NEI is joining other industry groups, such as the American Petroleum Institute, that are seeking to reach policymakers in an election year where energy policy has become a central theme. A glut of cheap natural gas has discouraged investment in other sources of electricity, and the average retail price of gasoline for the week ended March 16 reached $3.87 a gallon, the Energy Department said.

API Commercials

API, which represents oil companies such as ConocoPhillips (COP) of Houston and Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) of Irving, Texas, today plans to start a series of commercials aimed at encouraging President Barack Obama to take action to lower gas prices, Sabrina Fang, a spokeswoman for the group, said in an e-mail.

The oil group supports congressional approval of TransCanada Corp. (TRP)’s proposed Keystone XL pipeline, which the Obama administration has stalled pending completion of further environmental review early next year.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission two weeks ago issued its first orders in response to the Fukushima disaster and six weeks ago awarded Southern of Atlanta a permit to build reactors, ending a 30-year drought for new projects.

“Our goal is to communicate the overriding need for nuclear energy,” which provides about 20 percent of all electricity generated in the U.S., Peterson, of the NEI, said.

NEI spent $2.18 million on lobbying in 2011, up 29 percent from its expenditures in 2010, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Expenditures for 2012, released each quarter, aren’t available.

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM MALCOLM X.
Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, Lt. Dan Choi have all been oppressed by this “Democratic” White House, and vilified for standing up to the US Government, and exposing its lies and inconsistencies. There are so many more individuals who have been painted as traitors for calling out our Government and caring enough to demand that the U.S. live up to the ideals upon which it was founded.
The level of oppression in our supposedly “free” society is a constant threat to the whole policy of Whistleblowing and speaking truth to power. It takes more and more courage to act when you know that your very life is threatened, just by telling or demanding the truth about the actions of our Government which is supposedly “of, by and FOR the PEOPLE”.
I know that by even tagging this post with “wikileaks” and “#julian assange”, I am probably subjecting myself to scrutiny, if not something much worse.
Be careful reading this, the curse might rub off on you, too.
That’s fucked up.

"Both the Bush and Obama administration have done terrible fear-mongering on this issue.  This (above) is what a Senior Obama Administration Official said today, and see if you can tell the difference between this and a Bush Press Release.
And they go on to warn about “Enhanced Threats”.  I’ve seen it all before, the same kind of nonsense we had from Bush.

Last year, five potential Republican presidential candidates (Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, John Bolton, and Rick Santorum) who also serve as Fox News contributors or hosts appeared on the network for more than 85 hours. Media Matters for America estimates this time to be worth approximately $54.7 million in free advertising.

That really seems wrong to me, however, is this actually an illegal practice?  If it IS, Fox needs to be taken to task for it, and these candidates need to get off the air, or better yet, FOX has to air equal time for Democrats (because, we all KNOW how Fox strives to be “Fair and Balanced”, this will give them an opportunity to put their money with their mouths are)….However, on the other hand, if it isn’t illegal, then I think we really need a Liberal Network of our own - NOT MSNBC, which just got bought by Republicans…no, our OWN Network, where we can speak our minds, without having to temper it to appeal to conservative bosses.  I mean, if what FOX is doing is NOT illegal, why can’t we do it, too, instead of just complaining about it?
