NO! NOT TRUE. Due to GOP stonewalling, the Dems needed 60 votes to get anything passed - NOT just a majority of 51, and with the Blue Dog Dems consistently voting with the GOP, they made it impossible to get anything passed.
Then Ted Kennedy got sick, and he was the 60th Dem. Democrats don’t alway vote in “a block”, like Republicans always do. Some Dems are DINOs, and are really more aligned with the GOP.
