You wouldn’t have thought it possible. Not in your wildest dreams would you imagine that on the 11th anniversary of the beginning of American’s longest war would police have the temerity to arrest war veterans standing vigil, reading the names of their dead comrades in arms. And yet…

I truly don’t understand how the GOP has managed to co-opt Jesus as someone who was a cheerleader for the rich and the warmongerers! Camel, eye of needle, Heaven… remember??
As if Jesus would be in favor of our Foreign Policy, or our Gun Laws, or our Environmental Leniency, or our Voter Suppression? The list of actions by our Government, that Jesus would condemn, is long.
The lawmakers twist the teachings of Jesus to justify their own behaviors and opinions all the time.
And the general public is so anesthetized and already in a fog from what they eat, breathe, imbibe, assimilate and do all day, that they will believe anything that they are told, or fed on Fox News!
Truth is, ALL our politicians who are in office are pretty much bought and paid for by the corporations (except perhaps for Bernie Sanders, and a tiny handful of other good people).
I think we need a new crop of honest, good citizens in office. We also need term limits…like maybe limit their “Public Service” to ONE term each…so they will not be able to be influenced by the fear of losing their jobs. Also, how about if Congress people were paid Minimum Wage? After all, they keep wanting to cut spending! Each one of those Congress members makes a minimum of $150,000 per year! And they only actually “work” a few hours a week!! That’s plain wrong.
If they think the Minimum Wage is so easy to live on, let’s see them put their money with their mouths are, and see them try and cope with those wages!!
I tell ya, if we don’t get some civic-minded people in office soon, we’re fucked, people! The ice caps are melting. How long do we have? Somebody has to DO something soon, or the human race will not survive!

Actually, I found out…but nobody in the American News Media will report it. Not Amy, Not Cenk, Not Dylan, Not Rachel, Not Scahill, Not Greenwald, nobody, nobody, nobody.

GUESS WHAT! IT’S ALL ABOUT OIL… China and Russia are constructing a pipeline THROUGH Afghanistan to areas that they control.
From what I can gather, the US has been in Afghanistan all these years in an attempt to head this off.
So in case you thought it was any kind of “humanitarian” effort on our part to clean up the mess we made when we mistakenly invaded Afghanistan, you’d be wrong.
We didn’t MISTAKENLY invade Afghanistan…we just never told the American people the truth about why we went there.
And to this day, nobody in our media is telling the truth, yet.
Anybody want to start a letter-writing campaign with me, to all the News Outlets, asking them to “look into and report” about the Chinese Pipeline through Afghanistan (known also as the Turkmenistan–China gas pipeline)?
