wanting the public’s opinion on whether they think the “mission is now accomplished” in Afghanistan, and whether they think “our work is done, and we should leave now”

…um, well, YES, I definitely think we should leave now (or, I don’t know, say 10 years ago would also have been good)…but, I gotta ask — can anyone tell me what our mission in Afghanistan IS?
